7 Homemade Bleaching Creams to Remove Tan From Hands

Bleaching creams are especially useful when it comes to countering pigmentation and getting rid of a tan. However, most of us are familiar with the many harmful ingredients that store-bought bleaching creams typically contain. This is why homemade bleaching creams are an excellent and effective alternative.

Here are 7 easy recipes for homemade bleaching creams:

1. Licorice Powder and Milk:

Licorice or mulethi is hailed as a powerful melanin-reducing natural ingredient that lightens the skin tone and soothes irritation. Overall, it is a deeply nourishing ingredient for the skin. Mix 4 tablespoons of licorice powder with 1/4th cup of cold milk until a fine paste is formed. Apply this paste in thick layers to your arms and leave it on until it is completely dry. Wash off with cool water and use regularly for a week to lighten your arms.

2. Turmeric:

Turmeric is one of the most effective natural ingredients known to reduce melanin in the skin and even out the skin tone. Prepare a thick paste of turmeric powder and cold milk and apply it on your arms and wash off once it is dry. You can also prepare a bleaching cream by boiling 2-3 turmeric sticks in water. Once cooled, add 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and 3 tablespoons of coconut oil. Apply this mixture to your arms and wash off after an hour for incredibly glowing, healthy and radiant skin.

3. Masoor Dal Ubtan:

Masoor dal or red lentil is an another effective kitchen ingredient that you can use to lighten your arms. Make a fine paste by blending soaked masoor dal in a mixer (dal should be soaked overnight). To this paste, add some ripe tomato juice and coconut oil. Apply to arms and wash off once dry for excellent results.

4. Cucumber, Gram Flour and Aloe Vera:

Cucumber is known for its cooling and soothing properties, but it is also a very powerful ingredient that promotes skin lightening. Mix in some cucumber pulp with gram flour, lemon juice and aloe vera gel to create a paste of thick and even consistency. Apply this paste to your arms and wash off once dry.

5. Sandalwood Powder and Lemon Juice:

Sandalwood powder is known for its many skin benefits. When mixed with lemon juice to form a paste, it can be applied to the arms to achieve lightened and even toned arms. You could also add some yogurt to this mixture.

6. Orange Peel and Honey:

Prepare a pack by mixing in orange peel powder with cool yogurt until a thick and even consistency is achieved. Apply this mixture to your arms and wash off once dry for radiant and fair skin.

7. Yogurt:

If you’re feeling too lazy to prepare any of the bleaching creams or packs listed above, then you could simply apply some chilled yogurt (plain) onto your arms and leave it on until dry.
