NUR Foundation-Fatima Memorial Hospital (NUR-FMH) hosted Anwar Maqsood’s play Aanghen Terrha in collaboration with Kopy Kats Productions at the Alhamra Hall no. II on 20th April, 2013.
The artist performed to a fully packed house as this evening was especially reserved for guests and friends of NUR-FMH System (NUR-FMS). Close to 500 people attended the event which included donors, businessmen, professionals, doctors, judges, media, and employees of NUR FMS and members of civil society. Based on the famous TV series of the 1980s the play touches the audience on multiple levels through its emotional content and a visible tension in social mores not to mention a political commentary about Pakistan at the subliminal level.
Speaking on the occasion, NUR-FMS Central Executive Committee Chairperson, Mrs. Shahima Rehman said: “We are thankful to Mr. Anwar Maqsood and Kopy Kat productions for their generous gift. The play was a treat to watch and still carries with it the nostalgia of the 80s. NUR FMS is pleased to play a part in the promotion of the arts and also help raise funds for poor patients that our treated at Fatima Memorial Hospital. Events like this really help promote our cause.”

FMS is one of the oldest and largest NGOs of Pakistan working in the Health, Education and Development Sector.
Known for the acclaimed national play Pawney 14th August, Kopy Kats Productions started its operations from Islamabad during the golden period of amateur theatre led by Dawar Mehmood. The young dynamic and determined actor, director & producer setup KopyKats Productions as the first-of-its-kind original Urdu theatre. Pawney 14th August did for theater what the film Khuda Ke leye did for film production in Pakistan, a complete re-invention of the medium as well as main stream popularity. Kopy Kats has several other projects coming up in the near future.
