The Spiritual Yet Significant Journey of HajjThe ritual of Hajj is performed in the month of Zul-Hijjah, the last month in the Islamic lunar calendar. In Arabic, the word hajj factually means going to a place for the sake of visiting. The hajj is mandatory upon all Muslims, men and women who have resources to fulfill this religious obligation, at least once in a lifetime.

Opportunity To Get Free From Sins

Hajj is a chance to wipe up the human’s mistakes and sins of the past. “One who comes to this House for Hajj and avoids all vulgarity and sins, he returns as he was on the day his mother gave birth to him.” (Bukhari & Muslim). Hajj is a great way of for young person to get an advantage in cleaning up the shortcomings and faults of the past, and thereafter look towards a much brighter future. It helps people become good sprit once again after cleansing themselves of the many sins they mount up over the course of their lives. In short hajj revitalizes human lives.

To Build Tolerance And Respect

The most significant element of Hajj witness to the diversity of Islam is the way in which all races and nationalities can come together with tolerance and respect in a display of racial synchronization. In Islam there is no place for bias on the basis of race and the Hajj provides a powerful witness to this primary element of Islam. It also shows the unifying power of Islam in being able to bring so many people of so many racial backgrounds together in a common act of obedience to Allah.

Learning’s From Hajj

Hajj renew the spirit of absolute love and devotion to the One and Only God by keeping alive the faith and struggle. As a young person, precious life lessons taken from an early age are precious and can leave a lasting impression on their lives. One of the greatest life lessons anyone can learn and experience most vividly on Hajj is that human beings are equal to each other in all possible ways. Hajj this is not an ideal of the mind or on the tongue, but is something put into practice, witnessed and experienced by own self.

Hajj Should Be First Priority

Regrettably, many people delay making Hajj until the latter part of their lives, they take it as the obligation which is there to perform in old age. Scholars hold the opinion that the obligation of the Hajj should be immediate; consequently, it must be performed, as soon as all the conditions of Hajj are fulfilled. One, who delays the performance of Hajj, even though he has the means to perform it, until he dies, is an evildoer and he has left himself open to the punishment and annoyance of Allah in the Hereafter. So we should hurry to perform such beneficial obligation not just to obtain worldly benefits but the will of Allah Almighty who is gracious to us.
