The Designers multi-brand store located on 26th Street is holding yet another exclusive and much talked about multi-designer exhibition at the Dubai Ladies Club with no less than the who’s who of Pakistan’s fashion gentry. The exciting line-up of designers for this exhibition includes renowned brands such as prêt prince Rizwan Beyg, king of couture Umar Sayeed, and top designer Sonya Batla. Other designers bringing forth exclusive collections are high end and renowned designers such as Nomi Ansari, Zainab Sajid, Mohsin Ali and upcoming designers such as SNL, Aisha Alam, Rashk, Teeze and more.
“I am really excited about this event and it is a step toward The Designers multi-brand store strengthening its hold in Dubai,” said Asad Tareen, CEO of The Designers multi-brand store, who is aiming to make Pakistani fashion truly global by opening up similar stores in other countries. “We have so far had a great response in the UAE and hope to keep expanding our hold in Dubai.”
A mere two months ago, The Designers multi-brand store opened its doors in Dubai at a stand-alone 4000 square feet store located close to Emirates Hill which stocks a huge variety of Pakistani designers including Mehdi, Karma and Ayesha Farook Hashwani along with newer and upcoming brands from here.
“I want The Designers multi-brand store in Dubai to be the best representation of Pakistan’s fashion and culture in the UAE,” said Tareen, who currently runs two stores in Pakistan and is planning to expand more internationally.
Many of the designers who part of Tareen’s store are extremely excited about the series of activities taking place at The Designers multi-brand store’s Dubai location. Maheen Kardar, head designer of Karma, is really optimistic about The Designers multi-brand store managing to gain a strong foothold in the UAE.
“Asad Tareen has been like family to Karma and me for the last many years and I am extremely excited about being a part of this new adventure of The Designers multi-brand store,” said Maheen Kardar, who stocks her collection at the 26th Street location as well as UAE.
The range of clothing available at the Dubai Ladies Club extends from casual chic by Aisha Alam to the concept of prêt separates by Rizwan Beyg and vibrant colorful designs by Nomi Ansari as well as elaborate formal and semi formal clothing from Umsha by Uzma Babar.
“Our prêt line is strictly based on the concept of separates,” said Rizwan Beyg, “and I believe separates are what the women of today demand. The Rizwan Beyg prêt line consists of separate tops, jackets and pants which can either be worn together or individually.”
Amongst the newer designers participating in this event are Rashk and Teeze who are both sending their semi formals and formal collections for this exhibition.
“The overall look and feel of these clothes is chic, sleek and sophisticated and this is a theme which runs throughout the formal, semi formal and prêt lines,” said Asad Tareen, describing the collections as a whole.
The Dubai Ladies Club is a popular venue in Dubai for exhibitions and similar fashion-oriented events.
