Tapulicious Collection by Tapu Javeri at PSFW 2013 Day 1

Tapu Javeri, photographer turned designer, showcased his Prèt Collection ‘Tapulicious’ on PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013 Day 1 which was based on the old architecture of Karachi city.

Tapu displayed the concept of wearable art, a presentation which he first discovered in his 2011 exhibition called KaraChakra, where he exhibited manipulated images of Pakistan by creating chakras, akin to the kaleidoscopic prints of a Shamiana, onto bags and scarves. Same idea he manipulated in his latest collection which encapsulated four distinct print collections.

The four names along with their corresponding Silk print collections are: Sadaf Malaterre – classic Kara Chakra Scarf prints; Adnan Padesey – Monochromatic Pixelated Karachi prints; Wardha Saleem – Sepia Buildings with Gun & Roses prints and Rizwan Beyg – Twisted KaraChakra.
He used shocking, monochromatic and sepia colors on printed silks for Tapulicious Collection and also highlighted his signature Tapulicious jewellery.

Models for Tapu Javeri Show at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week Day 1 were styled by the creative teams at Nabila. The Official Photography was done by Faisal Farooqui and team at Dragonfly.

PR of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013 is managed by Lotus Client Management & Public Relations.
