Elan Collection at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week Day 1

Elan Collection at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week Day 1 was named after Keats’ poem, ‘Ode to a Nightingale’ which was inspired by the literal and figurative meaning of the poem. It depicted an artistic expression of human condition of despair and monotony and also the feeling of nightingale in its state of freedom and happiness.

Khadijah Shah reworked on a series of Chinoiserie-style prints, featuring different natural elements which included birds, flowers, fish, trees and full moon. The hues like watery blues, pale leafy greens and the pitch dark black of the night were used to make dresses appealing. The cuts included skirts, pleated jumpsuits, wrap dresses, bubbled hemlines, kimono styled jackets, cigarette pants and billowy tops which were embellished with beading, silk thread work and filigreed cut-work.

Fashion Editors Meher Tareen and Samina Khan walked the ramp as Elan’s showstopper and all fashion models for Elan Show at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week Day 1 were styled by the creative teams at Nabila.

The Official Photography was done by Faisal Farooqui and team at Dragonfly. PR of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2013 is managed by Lotus Client Management & Public Relations.
