Veet is the personification of femininity, a brand that has been inspirational to women across the globe. The Veet woman radiates confidence with a hint of feminine charm and is admired by all those that surround her. Veet gives her the confidence to be more than a woman. She is surrounded by admirers, both men and women and needless to say, she is the centre of attention. Over the past few years, many top models and actresses such as Katrina Kaif have represented and captured the essence of the Veet brand, making glamour a significant part of the Veet world.
With this essence in mind, Veet hosted a mega fashion presentation in Karachi at the PC hotel on 21st.May.2010, under the theme of Veet- Celebration of beauty. Veet encouraged new ideas, concepts, and talent in 2010 and entered this year again with a big bang. This time VCB brought together a great emblem of designers which included renowned names such as: Nilofer Shahid, Nickie Nina, Maria.B, Nomi Ansari, Deepak Perwani and a promising new designer Zaheer Abbas. The collections depicted versatile themes and took influences from across the globe, merging them with the unique Pakistani essence and presented before the bustling 500 strong audience in their own signature styles.
A highlight of the show was a spellbinding performance by the evergreen pop star of Pakistan, Shehzad Roy, who performed a medley of his hit numbers. “Saali;“Karar”. The performance, presented during designers showing, left the audience in awe as the models walked the ramp to their moving tunes.
Apart from the great line up of Designers, Veet continued to innovate its fashion platform and brought forth an idea of hunting the emerging modeling talent of Pakistan i.e. Miss Super Model. The hunt was done in collaboration with Pakistan’s prominent Choreographer Frieha Altaf’s Cats Modeling Agency and Veet. The event was conceptualized, choreographed and produced by Frieha Altaf of Catwalk Productions while the PR was managed by Frieha Altaf through Catalyst the PR and Marketing Company.
Frieha Altaf’s sound choreography on local and international tracks brought the audience to applause. Iraj, Nadia Hussain, Humaima Abbasi, Tooba Siddiqui, Sunita Marshall, Nadia Ali, Mehreen Syed, Faiza Ansari, Cybil and Saima Haroon (Veet’s Miss Super Model) were some of the names who gracefully presented the collections on the ramp. The hair and makeup was by Sabz who did an excellent job to compliment the dresses.
