Fashion Pakistan USA held its second annual fashion show (Fashion Pakistan Week New York 2014) featuring some of the top designers in Pakistan in association with Consulate General of Pakistan New York. A total of 22 fashion and jewelry designers filled Location 05 34th Street in Manhattan for a two-day exhibition topped with runways shows from each participating design house.
Perhaps the most anticipated of the collection was Ali Xeeshan whose digital printed lehngas bursting with clashing colors have placed this designer amongst the elite of Pakistan. Also seen was RTW designer Maria B. Notable shows where gowns by Nickie Nina and New Jersey-based fashion house NzK Designer’s Studio.
Braahtii showed interesting digital prints of old Bollywood heroines and maharanis emblazoned on the back of otherwise subdued tunics. RawajByPinx colored the collections with their kundan and stone jewelry while Hamna Amir Designer Jewelry continued the trend with handbags made entirely of gold metal and stones.
Other Fashion Pakistan participating designers included Syeda Amera, Zeshan Bariwala, CARA, Iquera’s Couture, House of Ittehad, A/f the fashion factory, Haute Couture by Aroshina, NAADZ Collections, Rizwan Ahmed, NKC – Narjis Kamran Collection by Syed Zakir Hussain, ANAA Couture, Salman Haye, Shakir’s Collections, AB & Co. by Amina Baig and Chic’n’Kari.

Fashion Pakistan USA 2014 was organized by Gateway Events International, a team managed by Irfan Ibrahim, AamerGhias, Hussam Chaudhry. Partners in New York included NzKDesigner’s Studio and Concepts are the PR partners. Afzal Jewelers, M Law firm, Desi Bazar(dot)com was the main sponsors of the event.
Imran Kureshi was the choreographer and FasialFarooqi specially flown from Pakistan for photography of the mega Pakistani Fashion event in Manhattan. Ammar belal came to cheer up fashion designers from Pakistan.
