Sadia Faisal recently opened up about her mother, Saba Faisal’s, strong opinions and the criticism she often receives on social media. The actress, model and influencer appeared as a guest on the FHUM podcast, where she discussed her career, family background and her perspective on the public reaction to her mother’s statements.
Sadia Faisal has been part of the entertainment industry for around a decade. She comes from a well-known showbiz family, with her mother, Saba Faisal, one of the most recognised names in Pakistani television. Her brothers, Arsalan Faisal and Salman Faisal, are also involved in acting, making the family a familiar one to drama viewers.
During the conversation, Sadia was asked about Saba Faisal’s frequent presence in social media debates. Saba Faisal often trends online due to her statements, many of which draw strong reactions from viewers. Speaking about this, Sadia said that her mother’s opinions come from her own life experiences. However, Sadia also shared that she has advised her mother to be more careful with her words. She said she has told Saba Faisal to be more diplomatic while sharing her views publicly, especially because younger audiences react very strongly to such statements.
Sadia said, “Gen Z does not let go,” while explaining how quickly comments can become controversial on social media today. She added that many young people may not always understand the actual intention behind her mother’s opinions and may judge them only on the basis of short clips or viral statements.
Despite the criticism, Sadia said she agrees with her mother’s views because they are based on real-life observations and personal experience. She maintained that Saba Faisal speaks from what she has lived through, rather than simply trying to create controversy.
Her comments have once again brought attention to the debate around generational differences, social media outrage and how celebrities should express personal opinions in public spaces.
