1. Tell us something about yourself in your own words?

I think I’m “misfit”…….. (a huge laugh).  Ok if I talk about myself….I think I’m very modest, very great fortunate, I feel like u know this is incredible for me to be internationally recognized in that way. I feel honored and very fortunate and in terms of I think how my style is probably look instructive with little bit of edge. I mean this is how I guess I describe myself.

2. How long have you been working in this field of styling?

I never took myself too much but I started in early 90’s and when I started I was working in a saloon. Then I met Sharon Stone, Linda Evangelista & Lisa Marie Presley and I think those three women really change the perception of my talent and I’ve been very lucky ever since; I mean I grew a lot during those periods. Louis Licar introduced me to Linda Evangelista in the early 90’s; Linda flew me to London to do the cover of British Vogue. Similarly, Sharon Stone took me to Paris to do the cover of Vanity Fair, and Lisa Marie Presley around the same time asked me very casually if I would do her hair for an interview with Michael Jackson. It was kind of incredible to work for such saloon at that time; I was looking for some magazines too. So that it was the beginning for me in the field of hair styling, also when I started doing coloring, styling in different ways, started to research and write down notes that was my personal journey that got me here. It made me more creative and gave me immense confidence. Creativity is inborn.

3. Have you got any special education related to you field or you are doing as your area of interest?

Yeah absolutely, when I met Linda u know I started working with her and I loved fashion and she introduced me into the Fashion shows in Paris and then we worked together in several Fashion shows. So that experience was awesome for me. It actually developed with the passage of time and that education is irreplaceable. It’s always in me that I learn and practice every day, every week and I’ve got such inspirations with my work.

4. What’s your specialty in the world of styling?

I cut and I think my specialty is creating shine and making beautiful hair healthy with the easy ingredients inside and out, this is what I do. I try to make hair as good as they can be and make it look like ‘hair’; I don’t like to use so many products for hair. I feel the texture of the hair, even though it’s the product in the hair.

5. Tell us something about your styling philosophy?

I think it’s like beauty with the context. It’s not, I make something or create something; I want it to matter, which really make a difference. It’s not about to make something just to make money, it’s about creating something that actually work. That’s what it’s about.

6. When you have some celebrity to style, do you prefer some preparations done before?

No, not always, it’s spontaneous most of the time; we look together, its collaboration. We look into the dress, the shoes, the make-over and then we get an idea, the feeling, the mood etc and then we go for styling the hair.

7. Which style you prefer the most and why?

I think the style which creates an image; u know the style change everything, your whole personality. I also judge on the spot or we have references, like the images on the computer and try to judge and ask like what you think about this and that etc. There is sometimes pre-planning but sometimes not.

8. Tell us something about your own range of hair care products? Do you have planned to increase it more etc; like your future plans?

I use natural ingredients and organic ingredients in my range. I use a lot the essential oils, lemon grass. Sea weed and the products like them. I have planned to grow but I don’t want to carry as huge range of products, as I believe less is enough.

9. How you have started working and what inspired you to launch a line?

I think it was the personal production; I had versatile time with my own hair and nothing worked. So I always had to look for an alternative, and this actually inspired me. To find products those actually work out. There was always problem with my hair and when I started working with the Fashion celebrities, in the Fashion shows, I became very particular that I had to look best. Also, I always experienced that every women complain about the rough and dry hair, the same philosophy which I was with my hair. Then I also realized that it is a big market and a world in itself. I found it a great opportunity and now its working.

10. What differentiates you from others?

When I keep creating some style and people start recognizing me for that and as people know me for my natural styles, it’s a part of me. I create on certain ways, like other artists, but at times it’s just happen that I create my own style.

11. While styling, what you prefer the most; international fashion trends?

Well we are really celebrating many styles and right now it’s not just one style. It was in 70’s and in 80’s when everyone was having the same particular style; but now we have several different kinds of women today, and that’s the beauty of the trends happening. We are celebrating every type of texture nowadays, like some want to have curly hair, some want straight etc and it’s a new kind of confidence that how trends are going at the moment. So that’s make us different.

12. What is the most defining point in your career till now?

When I worked with Sharon Stone, Linda Evangelista & Lisa Marie and the Fashion personalities like them, and got the international fame that’s the most defining point of my carrier.

13. If you are fancy to give any message to the beginners?

Yeah I like to give some tips that pay attention to the texture, make sure that you trim hair; there are striking treatments, work on it, use brushes that are natural Brussels and root instead of Plastic. Be gentle as much as you can with your skin to your hair.
