The brief, highly publicized marriage between clinical psychologist Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan and social media influencer Haris Khokhar has ended in controversy just two months after their wedding, with serious allegations now fueling debate across Pakistan.
Dr Nabiha appeared visibly emotional during a Ramadan transmission, “Noor-e-Ramzan,” where she spoke openly about her experience. Fighting back tears, she described the marriage as a painful chapter in her life and alleged that she endured mental torture, repeated accusations, restrictions, and humiliation from both her husband and in-laws. Host Fiza Ali was seen consoling her during the interview.
According to Dr Nabiha, the relationship was built on intentions that were not sincere. She alleged that her husband admitted he had married her for fame rather than love and planned to later discredit her publicly by claiming she was incapable of sustaining a marriage. She described living in constant anxiety, saying she could not even close her bedroom door or sit and eat peacefully with her husband without facing suspicion.
She further claimed she was not allowed basic privacy, including closing her bedroom door, and was subjected to doubt in nearly every interaction. Dr Nabiha alleged that Haris attempted to prove her wrong in order to humiliate her and made serious accusations against her character.
Haris Khokhar has firmly rejected these allegations. In a video statement, he dismissed the claims and said Dr Nabiha is suffering from “doubt and delusion.” He insisted there were no serious disputes between them and stated that he was happier with her than at home.
Addressing specific concerns, Haris explained that when he launched a new business venture, Dr Nabiha insisted on accompanying him everywhere, including professional meetings. He said he considered that inappropriate in certain work settings. He also claimed that whenever he prepared to leave for work, she would suspect he was going somewhere else.
Maintaining his innocence, Haris denied any wrongdoing and suggested that mistrust had become a central issue in their relationship.
The couple’s November 2025 wedding had attracted significant attention on social media, especially as their Nikkah was solemnized by Maulana Tariq Jamil. What was once celebrated online has now turned into a public dispute, with conflicting accounts dividing opinion across Pakistan’s digital landscape.
