Billu Barber is out in the cinemas. The movie which already made a huge fan list owing to the Hot cast list and hit numbers such as ‘Marjaani’ and ‘Love Mera Hit Hit’ already earned a great fame prior to its release.
Billu Barber is a story about an ordinary man, a simple soul – a barber – living in a village, Bilas Rao Pardesi. Better known as Billu (played by Irfaan khan), he lives with his wife Bindiya (played by Lara Dutta) and two kids.
He is living a sweet peaceful life with his family, until his business begins to suffer since he has not has not been able to upgrade himself with the changing trends.
The story lingers on for sometime around this situation until a superstar with his crew drops in at their village. That is where the winds begin to change their direction. A film unit visits his village to shoot a movie, starring megastar Sahir Khan (Shahrukh Khan). What is more interesting is that, Sahir Khan turns out to be Billu’s school friend.
Just like that, Billu’s position in the village changes, and he becomes highly appreciated. Everyone stresses him to meet up with the superstar. But Billu being hesitant feels reticent about meeting the star as he thinks he cannot match the superstar’s status. Moreover, he fears that the star may not identify him. He makes many futile attempts to meet the star until he surrenders.
Consequently, people begin thinking all that Billu did was spread a lie about knowing the star, thus end mistreating him, which disappoints him and his family
Everything and everyone changes, except for one person…. Billu Barber. This is the climax part. Will Billu be able to revise the meaning the word ordinary? Will he revive his importance among people even with his small existence? And in particular, will life for Billu Barber be the same…forever?
The movie with cameo roles by Kareena Kapoor , Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra owes to its primary success. Billu Barber’s music has been given by Pritam and lyrics by Gulzar and Sayeed Quadri. This comic movie has been produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
