The acclaimed designer label will be re-imagined with a fresh new brand identity, while retaining its signature ethos of creating accessible menswear. The label will now be rebranded under the name of Arsalan Iqbal.
Speaking about their decision to pursue their independent careers, designer Arsalan Iqbal said “The decision to part ways was a very difficult one. Together, we have overcome significant obstacles to carve out a significant reputation for ourselves and I am proud of the progress we have made in this regard. I’m very happy for Yahseer and wish him the best of luck in pursuing his goals!”
“It’s been an amazing journey for me and I am delighted by the support Arsalan and Yahseer has received over the years, both by our loyal customers and our peers in the industry alike. This was not an easy decision for us to make, but we feel it’s the right one which allows us to grow independently in the directions we envision for ourselves. I wish Arsalan all the best on his new brand and wish him the very best for the future.” Said designer Yahseer Javed.
Iqbal first began experimenting in design in 2006 and then completely devoted himself to fashion as a career in 2010. He then met Yahseer Javed, a fashion design graduate who was working for leading designer Munib Nawaz, and in January 2011 they teamed up to launch their label. Arsalan Iqbal recently showcased his “Spectacle Blanc” under the Arsalan and Yahseer label at Fashion Pakistan Week 5 recently held in Karachi and now looks forward to building the independent Arsalan Iqbal brand through 2013.
