The leading female vocalist of Pakistan, Komal Rizvi captivated the audience with her soulful and powerful vocal chords at a corporate event in Karachi.
The event was held at Movenpick Hotel Karachi and was graced by the senior management of Microsoft and their families. Komal looked ravishing in a vintage leather dress and an UNGARO jacket, complementing her look with bangles from Bebe.
Belting out a string of hits, the versatile singer rocked the venue and had the audience singing along in no time. She opened the session with her two popular singles Jhoolay Lal and Tu Beh Gaya from her own album. She followed that with her mellifluous renditions of the Coke Studio versions of Daanah pe daanah, Washmallay and Lal meri path and then sang two covers – Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s Main Tenu samjhawan ki and Abida Parveen’s Mahi yaar di gharoli – in her own beautiful version.
Talking about her experience, Komal said, ‘It’s always a pleasure to perform in my hometown. The crowd at the event was really appreciative and they thoroughly enjoyed my performance.
Some senior executives joined me in on the stage to sing Roop tera mastana and other songs until I signed off with my signature song Dhamaal’
