Those bushy and unkempt eyebrows cause every woman to cringe in front of the mirror. We have a few simple steps you can follow to help you keep those bushy eyebrows in check even at home.

Step 1 – Wash your face with lukewarm water and brush your eyebrows properly with a spoolie brush Step 2 – Hold your skin tightly with one hand and slowly pluck the extra hair with a pair of tweezers. Remember to pluck your hair one by one. Pluck them in the direction of hair growth. Step 3 – Use eyebrow scissors to cut the long strands of hair. Step 4 – Keep checking the shape of the eyebrow by brushing them with a spoolie every now and then Step 5 – Rub some ice if the skin around the eyebrows is irritated and red.

How can you know the natural shape of your brows?

The first step is to determine the length of your eyebrow. Start with placing a pencil on one of your nostrils and face it towards the forehead. This marks the point where your eyebrow should start. Next, keep the pencil in the same line of the nostril and place it just past the corner of your eye to mark the end of the eyebrow.

To determine the natural arch of your brow, take the same pencil and place it at a 45-degree angle from the nostril. The pencil should go past the pupil and point right where the eyebrow arch is supposed to be.

Focus only on the rogue hair

It is advisable to pluck only the rogue hair around the middle of the eyebrow. These are mostly concentrated around the eyelid and under the brow bone. You can also draw the desired shape of your brow and pluck using the guideline, for the ultimate look.

Do not over pluck

Overplucking the brows is bad for the hair follicles. It is advisable to pluck your eyebrows not more than every three days. Do not pluck them every day. The frequency of plucking also depends on the kind of hair growth you experience.
