Pakistani actors Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani have once again become the focus of pregnancy speculation, with social media users suggesting that the couple may be expecting their first child.
The rumours gained momentum after the pair shared pictures and videos from their first wedding anniversary celebrations in February 2026. Some followers claimed that Mawra appeared to be concealing a baby bump, while others commented on what they described as a “pregnancy glow.” However, neither Mawra nor Ameer has publicly confirmed that they are expecting a child.
The couple marked their anniversary with affectionate social media posts reflecting on their first year of marriage. Mawra described Ameer as “the light of my life… center of my world… my North Star,” before wishing him a happy anniversary.
Ameer also shared a loving message for his wife, writing, “Please always be by my side.. one down, infinity to go InshaAllah. Love you.” Their posts received warm messages from relatives, fellow celebrities and fans.
Mawra also reflected on the jewellery and wedding dupatta she received from her mother-in-law. Discussing their sentimental value, she wrote, “Last year today, my mother-in-law’s jewellery and shadi ka dupatta made its way to your heart and mine..Can’t wait to pass it on but also keep it for as long as I can”.
The anniversary posts prompted renewed interest in the couple’s family plans. The speculation has continued through Mawra’s public appearances and television work, with fans closely examining photographs and video clips for possible signs of pregnancy.
The claims should, however, be treated with caution. Mawra has previously denied similar reports. In August 2025, she responded directly to pregnancy rumours, saying, “The rumors are NOT true // let me enjoy my ‘dum naal dum bharan gi’ era.”
As of July 23, 2026, no official announcement from the couple confirming a pregnancy has been reported by established Pakistani news organisations.
Mawra and Ameer married on February 5, 2025, in an intimate ceremony attended by family members and close friends. They announced the marriage through social media and shared photographs from their wedding celebrations with followers.
Before their marriage, the actors had been friends and colleagues for several years. Their appearances together in television dramas, including Sabaat and Neem, made them a popular on-screen pair and generated considerable public interest in their relationship.
Mawra is known for her work in Pakistani television and films, as well as her Bollywood debut in the 2016 romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam. Ameer has built his career through Pakistani drama serials and has appeared alongside Mawra in some of his best-known projects.
