The Eternal Joys and Festivities of ChristmasIt feels so good when one enters any shop for buying gifts for the Christmas celebrations and the welcome song is a lovely carol that increases the enthusiasm about the event. We all know that this festival is a time to acknowledge the birth of Jesus who taught about the eternal nature of life.

No doubt about the fact that November onwards it’s the most celebrated event across the world when we see colored lights, shiny decorations in the city and the shops are decorated with artificial snow and Christmas trees other than caroling, musical concerts and scripture reading at churches as well as home.

The joy of Christmas day starts one night before that is December 24th across the globe where people start buying gifts, getting their homes decorated, inviting people and street walking to celebrate the Christmas Eve.

Christmas Tree

At Christmas celebrations, one of the commonly recognized symbols is the Christmas tree which is decorated with lights and other decorations. We should know that it is derived as the tree of paradise which is found in the Garden of Eden. History reveals that the use of the Christmas tree started during early 17th century, in Strasbourg, France, and followed in the northern Europe through Germany. Who can forget Santa Claus while preparing for Christmas celebrations? Well no one. People buy gifts for their family and the needy following the old tradition. According to history, this tradition started when three wise men presented gifts to the Christ child. Since then people across the world have made up different stories and narrate it to their children about these gifts.

Homemade Meal and Cakes

The joy does not require expensive gifts and lavish parties but it’s the best time to be with your loved ones to fulfill your Christmas celebrations. The real beauty and festivity lies in sitting with whom you love in front of the decorated Christmas tree and enjoying homemade meal and cakes or watching a movie and street walks.

If we talk about the Christmas meal, it varies in different parts of the world for example in the United Kingdom; they serve traditional meal offering roast turkey or goose with roast potatoes and other vegetables, later served with delicious Christmas pudding, a mixture of dried fruit (traditionally they use plums) and flour during Christmas celebrations.

Christmas Carols

The spirit of the day lies in Christmas carols that reflect the warmth, good will and generosity related to the festival. These Christmas songs and poems impart religious feelings among and outside the community that opens up minds and hearts to the blissfulness of God. The best thing one can do to give a real meaning to this spiritual day is by helping poor people around instead of spending extensively on decorations and meal varieties. Give needy people food and clothes as gifts and win their hearts on this auspicious occasion and enjoy a unique Christmas celebration.

Make this day with extreme wise ways instead of getting into debt for the sake of holiday. Give handmade photo frames, book marks, cakes and cookies. Pack them in jar and present it to your neighbors and friends to add joy to the Christmas celebration.
