Mohsin Ali’s collection entitled ‘Fables and Dreams’ at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2011 Lahore was inspired by the designer’s belief in Pakistan’s rich historic and urban culture reflected in its intricate local hand embroideries.
For “Fables and Dreams” Mohsin translated these embroideries into a modern, chic collection based in color blocking. The collections’ cuts included structured modern outerwear with inner draperies which create a strong juxtaposition of masculinity and femininity with the right balance. The fabrics used in this collection were woolen, cotton linen & jersey with cotton, embellished with woolen thread based local hand embroidery work.
