Pakistan Idol is an upcoming televised singing talent show has created a mass appeal amongst the Pakistani music lovers. The program is part of a popular series called Idols which first started from UK by the name pop idol, then India by the name Indian idol. The auditions for Pakistan idol are taking place in major cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan Karachi, Sukkur, Hyderabad Islamabad etc.
Finally, Geo Entertainment is all set to bring Pakistan Idol to local TV screens this 6th December. This will be followed by a month of training and preparing the contestants after which the show will be launched on December 6th on Geo Entertainment. Airing twice a week (Mondays and Fridays) at 9:00 p.m. Pakistan Idol will be hosted by actor Mohib Mirza, and the three judges of the first season are Hadiqa Kiani, Ali Azmat and Bushra Ansari.
Mobilink is the official telecom partner for Pakistan Idol. Other major sponsors include Clear, Q Mobile and Pepsi .The winner of Pakistan Idol will receive a one-album contract, a luxury SUV and s/he will also be featured in several videos produced by Geo.
Pakistan Idol is currently being promoted with a print, outdoor, radio and digital campaign asking people to register for auditions through SMS. For creating hype with aggressive marketing and gorilla advertising the charge of this is taken by Catalyst PR & Marketing Company.
Pakistan idol judges finalized and the show is all set to hit television screens across the world on Dec 6th, 2013.
