Living With Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

The persistent tiredness which lasts longer is chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). It is a disease that causes severe fatigue. It is not the kind of normal fatigue that everyone experiences which goes away after taking some rest but this type tiredness lasts for long time. It is not a normal fatigue which is relieved by rest. Mostly in adults its minimum time duration is 6 months or more.

The symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome include sore throat, flu like symptoms, problems with balance, sleep problems, dizziness, sweating, muscle and joint pain, un-refreshing sleep, cognitive difficulties, physical and mental exhaustion, tender lymph nodes and headaches. With time the condition gets severe and you may become depressed or mood swings.

It is very difficult to diagnose the chronic fatigue syndrome. If you are having four of these symptoms then check it to specialist. However main symptom is severe fatigue itself if it persists for at least six months. Symptoms may vary day to day and can lead to severe problems. Sometimes these symptoms come and go and then return after stress.

Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is comparatively rare as fatigue is very common symptom in many illnesses. The symptoms of chronic Fatigue Syndrome(CFS) vary according to age, severity and person to person. This disease is more common in women than men between 40 and 50 years of age and less prevalent among adolescents and children.

CFS reduces all healthy activities of life which in turn limits the abilities to do even daily routine tasks. Everyday physical activities make you feel exhausted if you are suffering from CFS.

Researchers have been studying Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for more than 20 years now.According to the latest studies being conducted in California, CFS is associated with presence of enteroviruses which are viral microorganisms. These viruses reside in gut. According to researchers, more than 80 %patients had high levels of viruses in their gut.

If you feel tire for about six months and sleep does not help lessen the fatigue then you might be suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). Go to a doctor and have a complete check up. It is important to get diagnosedwith CFS as soon as possible to get the right treatment earlier. There is no cure yet for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. So to get rid of this disease only treatment is to improve symptoms.

A latest study published in Journal of Clinical pathology has found some ways to detect and kill these harmful viruses in body. Now researchers can study the functioning of these viruses and ways to detect and kill them by using anti-viral medications. Medicines can be helpful in getting rid of pain, sleep disorders and other related problems. This disease can cope up with some minor changes in life style. Many psychological therapies included talking therapies, complementary and physical therapies are also used to treat Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

If your fatigue is persistent for more than six months with many other symptoms then you may be suffering from Chronic fatigue Syndrome (CFS). CFS is different from normal fatigue and does not go away after taking rest.
