Talented Pakistani singer Shiraz Uppal, who left singing this year in February, joined India’s most popular composer and singer A R Rahman in One World Peace Concert Syracuse New York.

A R Rahman and Shiraz Uppal joined together for the One World Peace Concert, held at Syracuse in New York, and performed live in front of 30, 000 American audience. What could be the best choice for such a peace concert other than sufi songs, so they both sung the popular qawalis Khawaja Meray Khawaja and Kun Faya Kun live on stage setting the whole crowd feeling the spirituality in that serene arena.

The other artists performing on the same stage were Dave Mathews, Natasha Bedingfield, Philip Philips, Cyndi Lauper, Nelly Furtado and others. Dalai Lama also addressed the audience on peace. But the best part was the echoes of Kun Faya Kun harmonized by Shiraz Uppal in his sonorous voice, accompanied by A R Rahman.

Though Shiraz Uppal has dedicated his life for religion, but his share with such an impactful sufi songs on One World Peace Concert in New York is surely commendable.
