Pakistani actress Sarah Omair has spoken candidly about her personal struggles, including her recent divorce from director Mohsin Talat, during her appearance on The Buzz following her elimination from Tamasha 4.
Omair, who began her television career with Thora Sa Aasma on PTV in 2008, quickly rose to prominence with popular serials such as Roug, Kathputli, and Maaye Nee. She also gained recognition by winning the reality show Desi Kuriyaan on ARY Digital. A prominent name in the industry until 2014, she stepped away from the spotlight after marrying Talat. The couple went on to have two sons before their separation.
Appearing on the show hosted by Hassan Choudhury, Omair revealed that the reality program offered her a much-needed escape during a turbulent period in her life. “The reason why I joined Tamasha was that I wanted a break from so many things because my ex-husband and I are from the same fields, so we come across each other more often,” she explained.
She continued, “I think I should tell everyone now—many people already know that I got divorced recently, just a few months before coming to Tamasha. At that time, I was in a difficult phase. I am a single parent and faced multiple hurdles; I was mentally disturbed.”

Omair said she found solace in the isolation that Tamasha provided. “Tamasha is a place where you have no connections, no entertainment, no meet-ups, no phones. I had once wished to be in a place with no signals. I needed peace of mind because I was frustrated, and Allah granted me the opportunity. So, I found peace for a few weeks,” she shared.
Reflecting on her experience, Omair explained that her challenges in real life made the show seem manageable. “When I recorded the promo, I said, ‘I had already been through enough in my life, so Tamasha would just be a piece of cake for me’. There, I used to see the contestants fighting, and it all looked so childish to me,” she said.
The actress’s remarks resonated with fans, many of whom praised her honesty about navigating life as a single parent and her willingness to speak openly about her personal journey.
While Omair has been largely absent from the television industry for nearly a decade, her appearance on Tamasha 4 and her candid interview have sparked renewed interest in her career and personal story.
