Rajab Butt’s Mom Breaks Silence on Viral Drink Video

Pakistani digital creator Rajab Butt is under renewed public criticism after a video of him appearing intoxicated and using abusive language circulated widely online. The clip intensified ongoing controversy surrounding the popular vlogger, who has built a massive following but also attracted significant backlash in recent years.

Rajab, known for high-energy family vlogs, Love sessions, and dramatic on-camera moments, rose quickly on social media. He has amassed more than 8.2 million YouTube subscribers and over 2.7 million Instagram followers. He married Emaan Butt in December 2024, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2025. Despite his online success, he has faced multiple controversies and is currently dealing with legal issues in Pakistan. He has since left the country.

The latest uproar began when a video showed him speaking aggressively and using profanities toward a mutual friend. In the clip, a friend attempted to stop him from using abusive language, but Rajab continued. The footage fueled new criticism and raised questions about his behavior while abroad.

Now, his mother has stepped forward with a public interview to defend him and offer what she says is the real explanation behind the viral video. She strongly rejected claims that Rajab had been drinking.

“I think drinking is quite normal in that country, which is why people are judging him on that basis. But how is that even possible? He is a Muslim man. We are different from foreigners,” she said.

She explained that Rajab has ongoing health issues. “He has medical issues—he suffers from sinus problems and neck pain during the winter, for which he uses medicine. I usually give him hot water and hot packs, but because he is abroad, he is relying on medicine, which made him feel drowsy at that moment.”

She also described how difficult cold climates are for him. “His nose also bleeds during winter. It’s really hard for him to survive in such intense weather. It’s almost impossible for him to drink and then come online. He is not that foolish, and he is a Muslim—how could he drink?”

She emphasized that alcohol is forbidden in their culture. “I used to give him herbal teas. Drinking may be part of their culture, but it is not ours. My son is Hussaini, not Yazeedi. Alcohol is taboo for us.”

Her statements have sparked mixed reactions online. Some supporters say she offered a reasonable explanation, while critics argue the clip speaks for itself. As legal and personal challenges continue, Rajab Butt remains one of the most polarizing figures in Pakistan’s digital landscape.
