Alina Amir, the Pakistani social media influencer who shot to fame after her viral recreation of Parineeti Chopra’s iconic line “Meri Body Mein Sensation Hoti Hai,” is now speaking out after becoming the target of a disturbing deepfake campaign.
Amir first gained widespread attention when her short video clip circulated on TikTok and Instagram, sparking significant engagement in both Pakistan and India. Her expressive delivery and confident on-camera presence quickly earned her the nickname “Sarsarahat Girl,” turning her into a recognisable digital personality almost overnight. What began as a simple recreation soon transformed into a full-blown social media phenomenon.
Since then, her following has grown rapidly. She now boasts around 2.5 million followers on Instagram and nearly 2.3 million on TikTok. Her sudden rise has also opened doors beyond social platforms. Over the past few months, she has appeared at digital media gatherings and mainstream events, signalling a transition from viral sensation to emerging public figure.
However, that attention recently took a darker turn. A few days ago, an alleged leaked video attributed to Amir began circulating online, causing shock and speculation. The situation escalated quickly, with cyber harassers sharing the content across platforms. It was later confirmed that the video was not real but an AI-generated deepfake designed to harm her reputation.
The incident has reignited concerns about online safety and the growing misuse of artificial intelligence to target public figures, particularly women. Deepfake technology, while increasingly accessible, has also become a tool for harassment, making it difficult for victims to defend themselves against fabricated content.
Amir initially chose not to address the situation publicly. But as the video continued to appear on her accounts and spread further, she felt compelled to speak out. In a recent statement, she shared her frustration and distress over the experience.
“First of all, I didn’t want to talk on this topic. I was ignoring it and felt unbothered about it, but then it started popping up on my account. I am shocked at such people who can go to any low to spread misinformation about someone. Please, at least do some research to verify whether the video you are spreading is real or not. This is harassment and a crime. I request the higher officials and the government to take action against it.”
Her words have resonated with many followers, who have expressed solidarity and condemned the online abuse. Supporters have also praised her for addressing the issue directly and using her platform to highlight the seriousness of cyber harassment.
Amir also acknowledged the efforts of relevant authorities and institutions that stepped in to handle the situation, commending the concerned departments for taking timely action.
As her career continues to grow, the episode serves as a stark reminder of the risks of online visibility. For Alina Amir, what began with a viral line and lighthearted fame has now evolved into a broader conversation about accountability, digital ethics, and the urgent need for stronger protections against cyber abuse.
