Aiman Zaman clarified her relationship status with Mujtaba Lakhani, addressed public misconceptions about their living arrangements, and shared her perspectives on fame and personal values.
The “Half-Marriage” Explained
Aiman Zaman confirmed that while her Nikah with Mujtaba Lakhani has taken place, the ‘rukhsati’ (the formal ceremony where the bride moves to her husband’s home) is still pending. She refers to this as a “half-marriage,” explaining that she considers a marriage “proper” only when she resides with her husband and his parents in their home.
Despite appearances on Instagram that might suggest otherwise, Zaman stressed that she and Mujtaba do not live together and create their content outside the home. She noted that before their Nikah, people also mistakenly believed they lived together, but clarified that no one, including Mujtaba, lives in her house. She described her “half-life” as very good, bringing “good feelings” and a sense of “safety” due to having all the necessary documentation and approval.
Career Journey and Passion for Acting
Zaman, who is visible across various platforms including TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, revealed that she initially entered the media and drama industry driven by a lifelong passion for acting. She considers herself a “real-life actor” and believes she can convey emotions effectively through her eyes.

She also shared her affinity for villainous roles, stating they suit her well, and expressed a desire to play such characters in life too, as she feels good-hearted people often face many setbacks. Zaman’s love for the camera is evident, describing it as a deep affection for the screen. Interestingly, it was her fiancé-husband, Mujtaba, who initially introduced her to TikTok.
The Genesis of Her Relationship
Aiman recounted that her relationship with Mujtaba Lakhani began when he messaged her on Instagram. While she doesn’t typically respond to messages, she found him “cute” and decided to engage.
Their journey started as a seven-month friendship before evolving into a romantic relationship. She described Mujtaba as a “very good man” and noted that their five-year relationship has felt so natural that they hardly noticed the passage of time.
Life Philosophy and “Setbacks”
At 26 years old, Aiman Zaman describes herself as a “very good and decent girl” who prays five times a day. She openly discussed experiencing numerous ” ठोकरें” (setbacks or hard knocks) in her life, clarifying that these are not solely breakups but various life experiences that offer lessons.
She views these challenges as “experiences” rather than just “setbacks” and notes that they have made her ” ठोकर proof”. On the topic of wealth, she emphasised that while the industry offers financial opportunities, “humanity is everything” to her, prioritising family, friends, and people over money. She believes that her focus on humanity over wealth has, ironically, contributed to some of her life’s ” ठोकरें”.
Fame, Karachi, and Staying Grounded
Zaman acknowledged that fame can sometimes negatively affect people, but she is committed to staying grounded. She consciously works to control herself and prevent her mind from being “ruined” by the pressures of public life. Aiman also shared a personal detail about her life in Karachi: despite being a resident, she dislikes visiting the sea due to the discomfort of being watched by people, describing the experience as “very strange”. She prefers to drive around the city instead.
