Visiting a spa and pampering yourself may sound the ideal solution for healthy white skin but with busy schedules, that is hardly an option.

1. Have nutrient-rich food
While there are many external methods to keep the skin, you got to start from the inside to help the skin maintain its healthy glow.
Vitamin C helps the skin produce more collagen and eating plenty of citrus fruits is the way to get Vitamin C into the body. Vitamin A found in egg yolks, oysters and milk are also great to improve the complexion and whiten the skin.
2. Avoid the sun or at least minimize the exposure
Keeping the skin cool and clean by splashing plain water is great but to whiten the skin, the exposure to the sun should be minimized. Using a good sunscreen lotion before stepping out is a good decision and so is drinking plenty of water and keeping the skin hydrated from within.
3. Use natural face masks
The citric acid present in lemon is a sure way to lighten and whiten the skin. Facial masks made from a few drops of lemon juice and honey will help remove blemishes and whiten the skin considerably. Cucumber and papaya are also great for lightening the skin tone.
Mixing raw sugar with oil and scrubbing this on the face will brighten the face instantly. Oatmeal and tomato juice mixed together also makes a wonderful facial scrub that removes dead skin cells.
4. Have a milk bath
Taking a milk bath can be time-consuming on an everyday basis but indulging in it once in a while is a great boost for the health and complexion of the skin.
Using powdered milk to fill the bath is easier and cost-effective than fresh milk. The lactic acid present in the milk not only moisturizes the skin but also whitens it.
5. Use baking soda
Too much baking soda can bleach the skin but when used sparingly, there is nothing to beat baking soda to whiten the skin. Mixing baking soda with water and applying it to the skin and then washing it off is a good remedy.
A few spoons of baking soda can be added to the bathwater occasionally for the same result.
