Salman Khan starrer romantic action flick “Bodyguard” is the ‘highest opening day grosser’ movie as well as the ‘highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2011’. The title song of film “feel the heat, feel the kick, feel the power, feel the punch; Agya hai dekho Bodyguard” depicts the strength of lead role in movie, Lovely Singh-the bodyguard, played by Salman Khan.
The hard hitting role of Salman Khan as bodyguard impacted viewers far greater than his earlier movies ‘Dabbang’ and ‘Wanted’. He is tough, he is strong, yet he is faithful and has a soft heart in movie “Bodyguard”.
Lovely Singh gets appointed as bodyguard of Divya played by Kareena Kapoor where Divya is the daughter of Sartaj Rana (Raj Babbar). Lovely Singh plays a very devoted bodyguard and is abide by his duty all the time. He follows Divya everywhere, from her college to bedroom. It irritates Divya and she plans to distract bodyguard Lovely Singh from his duties.
Divya with her friend Maya (Hazel Keech) starts a telephonic love affair with bodyguard Lovely Singh using an assumptive name "Chhaya" and hopes to keep him away from her. Whereas, bodyguard Lovely Singh starts loving the mystery girl without knowing that who she really is. Meanwhile, Sartaj Rana suspects that Lovely Singh has an affair with her daughter Divya so, he sends his men to kill Lovely Singh.
On the other hand, enemies of Sartaj Rana try to kill Divya; Lovely Singh saves her life and tells Sartaj Rana that he loves another girl. There comes the twist in movie and the story becomes more interesting.
“Bodyguard” is a complete package film filled with action, entertainment, lot of emotions and romance. The dynamic song of movie “Teri Meri, Meri Teri, Prem Kahani”, sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan touches hearts deeper than ever.
Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s “Bodyguard” therefore, is a must watch.
