L’Oréal exclusively presented their Spring/Summer 2011 collection in Pakistan through an innovative style show, ‘Summer Fantasy’ – a translation of the global beauty and fashion trends of the season by Nabila and Zain Mustafa with Hair by L’Oréal Professionnel and Make Up by L’Oréal Paris.
L’Oréal, the world’s leading beauty brand, exclusively presented their Spring/Summer 2011 collection in Pakistan through a first of its kind style show, ‘Summer Fantasy’ held in Lahore. For this innovative introduction to Spring/Summer, Global beauty pioneers L’Oréal Paris and International number 1 professional brand L’Oréal Professionnel teamed up together with leading Stylist and L’Oréal’s creative consultant Nabila and Zain Mustafa, co-creator for the event and internationally renowned interior designer and architect in an event managed by J&S with PR by Lotus.
‘Summer Fantasy’ marked the third beauty based collection launched by Nabila for L’Oréal Pakistan whereby each shows purpose was to interpret the ‘look’ of the season, specific to the Pakistani beauty and fashion context. For Summer Fantasy 2011, Nabila and Zain Mustafa’s interpretation for L’Oréal was manifested through an imaginative set of props, colours and freshness particular to the spring season with applications and shapes focusing on vibrant and quirky looks styled live on stage by the creative team at Nabila’s with L’Oréal Professionnel’s hair colour and hair care and makeup by L’Oréal Paris. L’Oréal Paris Spokespeople Amina Sheikh and Sabina Pasha along with fashion models Ayyan, Fayeza Ansari, Fia and Mehreen Syed were styled, with fabric by Gul Ahmed. The 3 hair silhouettes of short, medium and long length cuts respectively were showcased for high fashion wearability and its exaggerated artistic expression.
In attendance at this exciting show were CEO L’Oréal Pakistan Musharaf Hai; creators for the event Nabila and Zain Mustafa; musicians Ali Zafar, Ali Azmat, Junaid Khan of Call, Kiran Chaudhry and Farhad Humayun; film actors Shaan and Faisal Qureshi, actress and Garnier brand ambassador Juggan Kazim; fashion designers Sehyr Saigol, Kamiar Rokni, Ammar Belal, Nickie and Nina, Munib Nawaz, Amna Kardar, Kuki and Yahsir Waheed, fashion models Aaminah Haq, Nooray Bhatti and Mohammed, PCB's Director of Cricket Operations Zakir Khan, stylists Khawar Riaz, Maram Azmat, Aabroo Hashimi and Asmaa Mumtaz, political personality Amin Fahim, U.S Consul General Carmela Conroy and social personality Mian Yousaf Salahuddin along with the L’Oréal brand team.
Speaking about L’Oréal Pakistan’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection, Business Unit Manager Professional Products Division L’Oréal, Sadia Shaman, h and L’Oréal Paris Marketing Manager Zainab Pasha has said, “L’Oréal always works with stylists to develop global annual collections to interpret the latest trends in the colour palette and style, influenced by the fashion world. This Spring/Summer Collection Summer Fantasy is in effect a translation of the global trends of the season into Pakistani context. ”
Summer Fantasy 2011 was complemented by live music produced by Emu with Balochi folk artist Akhter Channar, guitarist Shallum Xavier and bassist Khalid with a live dance performance by the chaap dancers. Performing a medley of 3 tracks, Akhter Chinnar presented Balochi rap composed on centuries old shepherds poetry which narrates the story of three plants that return with the gypsies to celebrate spring.
Creating Summer Fantasy 2011 for L’Oréal, Stylist and Creative Consultant Nabila has said, “Following the extensive research by L’Oréal for their beauty and style collections globally, in Pakistan, now through Summer Fantasy, I have translated this global concept specific to the L'Oreal Pakistan's environment, culture, season, location, time of day and users.”
The L’Oréal Paris Collection showcased at Summer Fantasy is currently available at all L’Oréal counters and L’Oréal Professionnel Summer Fantasy Collection services can be availed at L’Oréal Professionnel Salons across the country.
