Launch of New Byco Brand Identity

BYCO Petroleum Pakistan Limited (BPPL), a rapidly emerging player in the petroleum landscape of Pakistan, launched its new brand identity on June 19, 2010. BYCO plans to follow this milestone development with transformation as a multinational brand through expansion into the global markets.
With the dynamic vision of its founder chairman (Late) Mr. Parvez Abbasi as the guiding light, BPPL has experienced remarkable growth since its inception and the company is now proactively involved in satisfactorily meeting the chemical, energy, petroleum and petrochemical requirements of the economy.
BPPL was established through a joint venture with a leading private equity company of MENASA, and Bosicor Corporation Limited, with the equity company holding 40% shares in the company. This initiative has not only brought in the much needed foreign exchange but would also encourage other foreign investors to invest in the Pakistan economy.
BPPL has added new dimensions to the midstream and downstream sectors of the petroleum industry in Pakistan. The company will soon have to its credit the largest refinery in Pakistan. Currently there is a 30,000 barrels per day (bpd) refining facility established along the coast of Balochistan which will be greatly augmented by having another refinery with a capacity of 120,000 (bpd) in close proximity to its existing refinery.
BPPL commenced the sale of petroleum products with the establishment of its first retail outlet in 2007, and in less than three years time the company has recently celebrated the completion of its 107th retail outlet in the country. BPPL now plans to transform these stations into state-of-the-art and modern retail outlets across Pakistan providing customers with exclusive and exceptional experience.
A mega show was organized by Byco to launch its new brand identity amongst business partners, diplomats, socialites, elites of the corporate sector and other dignitaries. The show started off with the welcome address by Mr. Kalim A. Siddiqui (President - Petroleum Marketing of BPPL) followed by Mr. Amir Abbassciy (Chairman & CEO - BPPL).
The Chief Guest for the event was the Minister for Petroleum & Natural Resources, Mr. Naveed Qamar. In his speech the minister praised Byco Petroleum on their efforts and wished the company good luck in its future endeavours.
The event had a host of celebrities like Faakhir, Adnan Siddiqui, Saba and Kaukab Ansari, Natasha Hussain, Ayesha Omer, Maria Wasti and many more that added the glamour quotient to the event.
A highlight of the show was a spellbinding performance by ‘Feeding the Fish -Fluxoscope’. Cutting edge technology meets world class circus and dance. Spectacular juggling was synchronized with Laser-dance and completely unique Pixel-Poi that are programmed to display breathtaking graphics in the air. This renowned group has performed in 34 countries around the world and this was their very first time in Pakistan. This was the highlight of the show in which the old logo was shown to fade away making way for the new logo and colors of Byco. The audience was enthralled by this unique and eye catching display of the new logo and identity. The performance was followed by a 5-course sit down dinner.
Last but not the least, was a performance by the mystical musician and singer of Pakistan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who with his soulful voice and transcendent nature of the poetic lyrics, in combination with a vivacious musical base, stirred ecstatic feelings of adoration among both performers and audience members. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan with his alluring voice continued to entertain the audience.
Along with the great performances, the event was conceptualized and produced by the most prominent and renowned choreographer Frieha Altaf (C.E.O) of Catwalk Event Management productions. The PR and Marketing was managed by Catalyst (PR Company of Catwalk Productions).
