Anwer Maqsood’s Play Pawnay 14 August Attracts Larger Crowd

Anwer Maqsood brings his first ever play ‘Pawnay 14 August’, for the KopyKats Productions in Lahore that is going a theatre smash hit at the Alhamra Arts Council to keep entertaining till 17 July, 2012.

Anwer Maqsood's play Pawnay 14 August includes the much revered characters like Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Dr Allama Mohammad Iqbal and Maulana Shaukat Ali Johar and is based on socio-economic condition of the city. It is attracting a larger crowd of Lahore due to its captivating screen play and the stage performance. Earlier, the play was performed in Karachi in March and gained overnight popularity. Now the Play ‘Pawnay 14 August’ is on its nationwide tour that has begun on 5th July, 2012 from Lahore.

Anwer Maqsood has penned the Play 'Pawnay 14 August' to inspire and entertain the viewers along with educating them. The role of Chaudhary Shujaat and of Veena Malik (Harem Harooq) is quite interesting.

The play is directed by the young talent Dawar Mahmood whereas the famous choreographer Wahab Shah has done his acting debut with this play.
