London based designer Omar Mansoor unveils his eagerly-awaited fourth collection for the London Fashion Week F/W '11-'12 ,inspired by Garden of Eden , titled 'Paradise Lost' .
Paradise Lost is an epic poem by the 17th-century English poet John Milton. The poem concerns the temptation of Adam and Eve by the fallen angel Satan and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden. It deals with diverse topics from marriage, politics and monarchy, and grapples with many difficult theological issues, including fate, predestination, the Trinity, and the introduction of sin and death into the world.
Omar used two colours primarily fuse the theme in the collection. To The color palette included romantic pale purple, lilac, lavender, aniseed green and olive.
The Lilac colour represents the flowers while the shades of green suggest the leaves in the Garden of Eden. Combining eastern crafting techniques along western silhouettes in his signature style and applying the intricate details to garments creates an elegant and contemporary womenwear. Delicate Woven lace flowers, layers of sheer fabrics, asymmetrical hemlines, dramatic necklines and innocent looks symbolizes the story of sin , angels , curiosity and beauty.
