Lullaby- the music of mother’s love

The soft and sweet words of lullaby, when touch those tiny ears, whispers of love and care that soothes his little heart and sends calming sensations to his mind and body as he drift off to sleep within the folds of mama’s protective arms.

Such is the power of Lullaby that enfolds the little innocent angel within the power of its love, warmth and care like a soft blanket in a chill winter night. The calming music and the soft words transfer the motherly love into those little ears that lull him to sleep.

There is nothing yet invented in the world that can measure the mother’s love, but lullaby, those simple yet extremely powerful words can surely measure the extent of love that lies in mother’s heart. The profoundness and strength of mother’s love, when try to take some form, it takes the form of music, which a child feels without understanding, without knowing lyrics, he feels and understands, which assures him of his protective shell that will never let him get hurt, that will never let him feel alone and that will always love him unconditionally.

Just as adults let go themselves into the passionate beats of psychedelic music, the baby lets go his imagination to a peaceful world created with mother’s love. The concept of lullaby originated in England with the idea of lulling a child to sleep. Although Infants cannot comprehend the lyrics of lullabies but yet the tune makes them feel relaxed and heavenly.

A recent study supervised by Dr. Katuro Endo, a neurologist and one of Japan’s most celebrated Sleep Doctors, has found that music specifically Lullabies can cure insomnia. He divides music into three categories; melodies that fire the imagination; those that are calming and relaxing; and music that should, within ten minutes, slow the brain down to the point of unconsciousness. Lullaby, which has a simple melody, induces relaxation and sleep because of its power to mimic human heartbeat at rest.

Lullabies are as timeless and eternal as mother’s love, it knows no time, no fashion and no era, it is only a musical personification of love that knows no boundaries and no limitations. Lullabies definitely help parents to share their love with the power of words and music to make their children feel the essence of their being in this world.
