PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2010 (Day 2)

Here comes, the second day celebration of the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion week 2010, out of the four days of the grand mega event. Eight designers form the three big cities of Pakistan, Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad, are representing their designed dresses and marvelously establishing the new Fashion trends.
The day 2 was started with the huge audience including many Fashion lovers, Fashion celebrates, Fashion followers, guests of honors etc. A large number of media people were there too, to highlight the event. The Fashion affair was initiated with the Fashion collection of Karachi based model turned designer Sadaf Malaterre, with her women’s wear. Sadaf’s Fashion Collection was dedicated to the memory of acclaimed Pakistani artist and dear friend, the late Asim Butt who inspired & encouraged her to experiment with colors.
After Sadaf Malaterre, Fashion designer Lahore based Yahsir Waheed showcased his Prêt a Porter collection. Kee Janah Meh Kon’, a line drawn from a famous Kafi written over 400 years ago by Punjabi Sufi poet Baba Bulleh Shah which the designer states hold true till today. Then Fashion designer Mehdi showcased his women’s wear couture collection entitled ‘Romance’; at the end of the Act 1.
Act 2 was opened by the young Karachi based fashion designer Feeha Jamshed showcased Prêt a Porter collection for her brand TEEJAYS entitled ‘Diamond City’. After that Saima Yousaf’s of Hoorain label represented her signature style focused on luster, shine and vibrancy. Saima Yousaf’s of Hoorain is primarily known for is Haute Couture. Following Hoorain, young Prêt focused brand Muse showcased their Autumn/Winter 2010/2011 women’s wear Prêt a Porter collection at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week. Muse was launched in 2009 by Moeed Yousaf. Act 2 was headlined by the Kamiar Rokni fashion label who showcased both Prêt a Porter and Haute Couture collections entitled ‘East, West, North, South’ a name illustrative of both their national and global influences.
Before all these Fashion designers, AFID/PIFD was showed their exclusive Fashion assortment. In this way, PFDC Sunsilk Fashion week 2010 boosted the Pakistani Fashion industry, like the Day 1.
