The influence of craftsmanship of nomads, the wanderers and the traveling tribes as well as the vivid cultures of Central Asia and undivided India have been a constant source of inspiration to the designer duo. Their body of work reflects their passion for re visiting ancient Indian workmanship and gives it a contemporary twist.
The journey as creators, artists and revivalists is to strike a balance between the two worlds and to keep the relevance alive, by ways of re interpreting crafts, developing a range of hand crafted textures- their repertoire is extensive. The silhouettes keep the edginess alive with a measured mix of kitsch and couture.
As designers, their take on the design process is intuitive while an out of the box approach to colors and fabrics gives their creations a singular vocabulary- elegant, experimental, and dramatic. The current fascination with nomadic cultures as well as their interest in the hi point of the Islamic art, has kept the duo busy with their upcoming collections.
With a flagship store each in Delhi, Ludhiana and Chennai, the label also retails from Kimaya and Aza, Studio 8 and Aara Fashions in Dubai, as well as Sanskrit in Hong Kong.
