Veteran Actor Dilip Kumar Admitted to Hospital in Mumbai

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar is admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, tweeted his family friend Faisal Farooqui,

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. He was rushed to the hospital soon after he complained about feeling uneasy due to a chest infection. The Dadasaheb Phalke award winner who quit movies in 1998 is currently being treated at the hospital.
 
"Saab has been admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital as he was bit uneasy due to a chest infection. He’s recuperating. Requesting your duas and prayers," read a statement posted on Dilip Kumar's twitter handle.

Earlier, the veteran actor was admitted to the hospital due to his struggle with dehydration, kidney dysfunction and urinary tract infection. His wife Saira Banu was by the actor’s side throughout his stay at the hospital. His declining health has kept him away from making public appearances. The veteran star made his last on-screen appearance in the Hindi film Qila.

Born in Peshawar, Dilip, known as the ‘Tragedy King’ of the Indian Cinema. He is best known for his work in films like Mughal-E-Azam, Devdas, Naya Daur, Andaz, Vidhaata, Shakti, Karma, among many others.
