Superstar Shahrukh Khan will be seen in the upcoming movie, Raees, directed by Rahul Dholakia, alongside acclaimed Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and the critically acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
The King Khan is enthralled with the cast and said on Monday at the Launch of Dabboo Ratnani’s Annual Calendar, “Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are there in the film. Both of them are very accomplished actors. I think the cast is really wonderful. Now I would have to excel and perform like them.”
Shahrukh is set to join the film’s shoot by the end of March 2015. Mahira, who shot to fame and recognition with her epic role in Pakistani television show Humsafar, will be playing the female lead in the movie against Shahrukh Khan.
Farhan Akhtar will be co-producing the project, along with Ritesh Sidhwani, who also declared Mahira’s role on Twitter earlier in December 2014:

SRK has previously seen Mahira and was all compliment for the actress: "Rahul (Dholakia) liked her. She suited the film a lot. I have seen a little bit part of her television stuff. I have met her and she is a marvellous actor."
During Mahira’s visit to ‪India‬ in year 2014, the actress was questioned about her favorite Bollywood actor and her answer was very swift, revealing SRK name, “I would be cheating on Shahrukh Khan, if I take another name here. I would love to work with him some day. I have been his fan ever since I was 13 years old, and my love for him stays strong even today.”
The Sadqay Tumharay actress will be playing SRK’s wife in the Raees. Khan will be reenacting the role of a gangster centered in Gujarat while Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the cop who ploys him in Mumbai.
