The pioneering Pakistan Fashion Council, presented day 1 of Fashion Pakistan Week 5, 2013 – a platform that endeavors to promote Pakistan’s seasoned and new aspiring fashion talent both on the domestic and international platform.

The first day of fashion week opened with House of Maheen followed by DeepaknFahad (DnF), Zari Faisal, Orient, Aamir Baig, Mona Imran and Ayesha Hassan respectively as summarized below.

The show was choreographed by Catwalk Event Management & Productions with back stage management by Production [021] & show production by CKO. Fashion weeks are a platform where all the ends of fashion industry integrate and put a collaborated effort in commercialising the fashion industry together.

Fashion weeks announced and celebrated so far in Pakistan have raised the awareness of fashion among the public, motivating them to prefer the designer products instead of the ordinary.

The trend of celebrating fashion weeks is new in Pakistan, as PFDC (Pakistan Fashion design  Council) has just started arranging for such platforms under the patronage of some fashion brands such as Sunsilk and L’Oreal.

PFDC announced its debut fashion week with Sunsilk in 2009, which was to be held in February 2010. The fashion week featured 4 days of fashion by over 32 designers, including the established names and emerging talents. Continue reading…

[Lahore: 3 April 2012]  This April marks the fifth consecutive PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week; the third year of prêt a porter fashion by the Pakistan Fashion Design Council.

PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week will take place in Lahore, from the 13^th – 16^th of April 2012.

As announced earlier this month, PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week will be showcasing 24 luxury/prêt a porter designer collections across 4 days at one main runway venue.

Furthermore, in keeping with the season and to their ongoing commitment to creating synergy and collaboration between textile and fashion, the PFDC will also be holding 2 days of designer/textile mill voile shows on the 2^nd  [14^th April] and 3^rd day [15^th April] of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week,  just prior to the luxury/prêt a porter evening shows.

Moreover, in the interests of taking the business of fashion a step further, the PFDC will also be welcoming a delegation of buyers, agents and media to Lahore this April, to attend fashion week. Continue reading…
