After the splendid success of Fashion Pakistan Week 1 in Lahore, the 2nd edition of the Fashion Week 2010 is currently going great in the southern port city of Karachi. Karachi is considered as a cosmopolitan city in Pakistan, complete with glitzy shopping malls and a thriving cafe culture.
Fashion Pakistan is single largest Platform for fashion designers, fashion entrepreneurs and fashion journalists. To encourage, promote and facilitate the development and growth of the fashion industry in Pakistan and to make it competitive in the international markets. The Fashion Pakistan Week 2 is on its peak these days, started from the 5th of April and will continue until 9th of April 2010. Tehmina Khaled is working as an organizer of the Fashion affair. One of the biggest purposes of arranging this Fashion event is to portray a softer image of Pakistan in abroad.
The Fashion event FPW2 is scheduled to feature 52 Fashion designers, 49 of them from Pakistan and one each from Malaysia, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates. They all are invited & participating in the Fashion Pakistan Week 2, as a follow-up to the first event held in Karachi last November. Pakistani Fashion Models are flouncing gracefully on ramp during catwalks, flaunting the latest creations by designers. Shaista Wahidi, who is considered as the queen of morning shows walked the ramp on the opening night of Fashion Pakistan Week 2.
